The Minority Coaches Association of Georgia “Coordinators/Top Assistants” Coaches Academy is an educational forum where individuals who have been identified as a potential coordinators or top assistants by administrators and head coaches in the membership will simulate the high school interview process from researching the position to their first staff meeting after becoming a coordinator or top assistants. By achieving the following objectives, the forum is providing tailored education to future coordinators or top assistants at the high school level.
Requirements: 4-10 years of experience
Application:
The selection process will be competitive as only a total of ten coaches will be selected to participate in the academy. Applicants will be asked to submit a resume and personal statement. In the personal statement, applicants need to ensure they discuss, in detail, the following:

Program Objective:
The goal of the Academy is to assist with career advancement, networking and exposure opportunities, and to raise awareness regarding the substantial pool of talented and qualified coaching candidates.

- What is your philosophy for developing your student-athletes to ensure these young men or women are prepared for life once their athletic career ends?
Program Objective:
- Assist the coaches with career advancement, networking and exposure opportunities, and to raise awareness regarding the substantial pool of talented and qualified coaching candidates. Most of the participants are assistant head coaches, top assistants, veteran coaches middle school head coaches or have experience in years that elevates them to the consideration level for coordinator or first chair assistant positions.
